Purpose
The purpose of the Trumpeter Swan Program is to:
Introduce Trumpeter Swans to the Callander Bay area of Lake Nipissing.
Increase environmental awareness through education and information
Protect the swans and their nesting area from human activities, through education and signage
Improve access to the vicinity of the nesting area for monitoring and recreational opportunities
Promote this unique natural feature so as to increase tourism in surrounding communities.
